Bronze and Granite

This is a small edition of Bronzes. I started making it when I was pregnant, i didn't know I was pregnant at the time and in hindsight it seems to me to be looking at the tension between strength and vulnerability.

I sold one of the edition to a marvellous older lady who was just about to move from London to North Africa,(a brave move and bronze sculpture is a rather heavy addition to one"s luggage- but I didn't mention that.) She was thrilled with it and renamed it 'Gutted'.
